The weeks crash by during the spring.
Maybe it's just the prospect of my advance in years.
XXXI......and on a Monday no less.

My Dad turns 60 on Saturday.....
he doesn't look a day older than 1971.

Hard to believe, but it happens to us all.

Back from 'vacation'.

Alexis' show went smoothly in Pendleton and - with the exception of a minor car problem - we made it back into town without a hitch. Cats were joyous - and the house had not burnt down.

Our primary preoccupation (other than the gig), was geocaching. If you have a GPS, you should really give this a shot. It's like hiking and Christmas rolled into one.

Mid-week humdrum. Despite the increased sunlight hours, the batteries feel half-charged.
It's Tuesday. The sluggish cousin of Monday.

Last weekend was moderately amusing. Alexis and I had dinner with my brother and his
friend. Also caught Mulholland Drive with a bud who recently fled Seattle. Mr. Lynch has
returned to his old disturbing self.

Pretty Pretty.

In other news....New York mayoral politics goes to pot.

Tired today. Not enough sleep and a bit too much coffee.

As for my recent dramatic scribblings, it's just a way to break up the monotony of grousing and/or delivering the ever-important personal chronicle. Perhaps all of these ideas will be divided up into separate blogs....we'll see.

In other news, I'm calling for a Bush vs. Bin Laden // Sharon vs. Arafat cage match.
I'm that sick of it.

He could feel the door close without him even making the effort. The familiar pain in his temples burned as he swept down the long, grey corridor that led to his cube. Even his teeth hurt with subdued rage. He turned the corner to his office and ran right into a human wall.

'Dammit,' Keith hissed, looking up at his obstacle. Mark Olson rocked back on his heels, reeling in his composure as well as a cluster of odd papers stuffed under his armpit.

'Mr. Erickson?' Mark stuttered. 'I am so sorry. I was just leaving you a memo about the Operatio account.'

Keith waved him off. 'I'll call them this week,' he said.

Keith opened the door to the darkened office. 'Do you have any mail for me to deliver?' he murmured. His eyes were fixed on the floor.

'Not today.' said Dana, her attention unchanged. 'I will have a parcel for you on Friday, but you will need to come early. The client will be wanting the material before noon.' She paused. 'Is that clear?'

Keith snapped a knuckle in reply. His eyes narrowed. 'Very clear. Is there anything else?'

Dana swiveled in her chair, looking up at his pinched face. 'No, you may leave.'
