Been a bit of a ghost as of late. Only got my schedule to blame.

Last couple weeks have been a barrage of work, rehearsals and life re-arranging events. After celebrating the life of my grandmother, who passed on earlier this month - I've been preparing to move into a new place. Never mind the rehearsals for an upcoming show that opens in June.

Lots has happened in the past couple weeks on the international front. I'm forced to condense my rant, due to the seemingly unending list of affronts.

Remember Jessica Lynch, the soldier who was rescued from an Iraqi hospital in such dramatic fashion? News reports said she had been shot in a valiant firefight and had been taken to a nearby hospital - where she was beaten and slapped by interrogating Iraqi soldiers. Turns out that none of this is true....according the UK Guardian, The Toronto Star and the BBC. Apparently, Lynch was involved in a vehicle accident, was never shot, and the rescue was staged at the hospital by the military for the media ala' "Wag the Dog".

That's right....Lynch's cover story was grade A propaganda.

In a weird twist, Lynch was almost killed by U.S. forces when the Iraqi ambulance (who was trying to deliver her U.S. medics) was fired on by U.S. soldiers as it neared a checkpoint. This story breached on May 5th, and hasn't seen any significant press in the U.S. - suggesting further collusion by U.S. major media.

In other news...

Scandal-plagued MCI/Worldcom was awarded a contract to provide wireless services in Iraq - to the tune of $45 million, courtesy of the Bush Administration. Interesting, since MCI has never before built out a wireless network.

U.S. government ponders a death camp at Guantanamo...

Iran appears to be next on the list....get ready for the next phase of state-sponsored terrorism.

Seven U.S. soldiers killed in the past three days...
