Absolutely nuts these days...
In preperations for the move, we're painting rooms and packing more boxes. Also managed to pull a hamstring while pretending to play softball. Nothing like being gimpy while having to orchestrate an exodus.
In other news...
207 U.S. soldiers have been killed since we invaded Iraq in March. Of those killed, 69 of those casualties have come after the May 1st declaration by Bush of the "end of major combat".
That's right, over a third of U.S. casualties in Iraq have happened after the so-called end of the war.
In many news accounts, the U.S. military losses (post May 1st) are limited to only those who are killed in hostile combat (36) and neglect the high numbers of accident-related deaths (helicopter crashs, friendly fire, etc.) which currently add up to 33.
