Love for sale, baby....

Tony Blair receives some love from Congress....while cheapening the value of Congressional Medals of Honor everywhere.

Wrapped up the show this past weekend. While I'm sad to see it go, it is a relief to move on to the next big thing. The Move. It's looming on the horizon, and I gots to get ready.

Checking out the new Blogger interface.....it looks like it runs smoother, although I don't like that I can't control the top spacing between the date stamp and the body text. Hmmmmmm.....how to circumvent.

I'm attending a rally for Howard Dean this evening at the Rose and Raindrop. Looks like a good opportunity to get a bearing on this guy......who, along with John Kerry, looks like a promising contender against King George.

Just got this from noted muckraker Greg Palast. More evidence of the GOP using the system to punish whistleblowers.

Here's an interesting twist to the ever-evolving recent coverage of Iranian student protests....the ones that pResident Bush is using to draw sympathy for a US-lead "regime change" in Iran. Turns out the roots of these protests are coming from the Ministry of Science and Technologies' desire to privatize the university system in Iran - a move that has been protested by students who cannot afford to pay.

It also sounds like some "foreign elements" have sought to hijack this protest in hopes of making it look like open revolt against the Iranian government. Can anyone say CIA?

Meanwhile, more Iranians attempt self-immolation in protest to the arrests of Iranian exiles in France.

Keep watching this story....

Ok...so we've prodded Syria a bit...but they're not taking the bait.

Let's see if Iran will our next customer for "regime change".

Let's try to subvert their government by staging demonstrations.

Do they have nuclear weapons? Well, we can't have that! Demand that they disarm, while we fondle our stockpile and prepare the troops for round two..

Even in France we see the seeds for more war justification.

Meanwhile...

The fleecing of the American public is nigh, yet again.

Very sleepy.

Drank too many PBR's after last night's softball game.

Waking up to the usual. My eyes stumble across the headlines and snag on the ever-evolving atrocities perpetrated by our government. Denial in high places with no oversight and no answers.

At my desk, I try the block out the random noises of futility.

Tap-tap-tap.
The sound of a pencil dropping.
Snatches of disembodied conversation.

Zzzz....

I'm in the middle of an "online training" for one Macromedia's new WYSIWYG tools. All the same information, just dumbed down further for middle management web publishing needs. Web administrators beware....you'll be hearing about this one.

In other news...

Things are blowing up in the Middle East once again, just in time to foul the peace talks. Mr. Bush is learning that he can't have it both ways.

Hans Blix vents his spleen on Washington.

The weasels in the White House are spinning the facts...once again. Even ultra-right columnist Bill Kristol is saying that the urgent push for war was based on erroneous information. Kristol still believes that war was right, he just thinks we just jumped the gun.

Instead of admitting that Bush lied to the American public about the reasons for war, we are simply going to excuse the lie as a false start on a war that was inevitable.

Yeah...that makes it ok.

Here's something that will make you tear out your eyes. As my grade school principal said...garbage in, garbage out.

More ghost-like behavior....

Finally opened Iolanthe at Mock's Crest Productions this past weekend. Now, I can start dealing with the next big thing....moving into a new place. Whee.

In other news....

The brown stuff is starting to hit the fan in Washington, where Bush is just starting to feel the heat over the lack of WMD's.

Ah, those tricky chemical/biological weapons...

It seems like yesterday that I heard Mr. Bush and his cronies using flimsy WMD excuses (disguised as intellegence) as a rallying cry for war.

So where the hell are these weapons Mr. Bush?

You rush us into a deadly and politically disasterous conflict with this accusation - yet, ask for patience when the mountains of weaponry refuse to surface on cue. Meanwhile, soldiers continue to sacrifice their lives at a rate of nearly one dead U.S. serviceman per day - trying to "maintain the peace" by policing the country they've "liberated".

Behind the scenes, Bechtel and a herd of other GOP-friendly corporations cash in...
