What a weekend....

Greer is fighting off a bug that's given him a nasty cough. It sucks to see him hack his way through his first illness. Alex and I stayed home instead of travelling to visit my folks....a disappointment, since it's been a year since we've visited. Spent three hours in Urgent Care - just to get a new diagnosis and meds for treatment. The administration of these meds makes for a longer morning, so it's thrown things off a little. Such are the joys of new parenthood. Greer is now 2 months and 9 days old....

On top of this, my grandmother's in the hospital recovering from surgery. On Saturday, my brother and I went for a visit - and found her a little looped on pain meds. It didn't bother me much - but she was a handful in her own special way. God bless her....another close relative in the hospital in less than a year. While she talked distractedly to a doctor, Chris and I reminisced by a collection of old chairs stashed in the ward hallway. Interesting times.

In other news...

* I'm planning a birthday shindig at the CST. April 24th or May 1st. Still working out the details....but it'll be fun.

* I did my first voiceover acting for an Izzy's commercial. I'm voicemugging as an Italian Chef. "Ah....Delicioso!" and "Fantastica!" are my most memorable lines. Recorded in the same studio that Poison Idea saw action in. I'll take some more of that if I can get it.

* Looks like the Animal House Celebration in Cottage Grove is coming back for Round 2! Accoding to the event planners, September 4th is the date to show in your toga. I swear, if it's anything like the first one, it's going to be a blast.
