.
Wow....what a day.
While I can't say I got much done, yesterday did offer some personal catharsis. Away from the world for most of Saturday, I hiked Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge with a friend - and reaffirmed that there is other life on this planet. Thick with birds and beasties, the Refuge is a testament to what has always been - and hopefully will continue to be in that little part of the world. Outside of a trail running through part of it - not much has changed. Flocks of sandhill cranes, blue herons, geese and ducks. Pairs of redtail hawks - and even two bald eagles chasing each - were part of the six hour passage. It was stunning as usual - and a grand statement on the natural scheme.
Out there - it is wonderfully undeveloped and wild.
