Three blogs in February....sheesh!

Ah well....I'll end the month with a bit of a bang. Blog for fun and pleasure on a laconic Saturday morning - Greer and Alexis still sleeping.

I spent the better part of yesterday day worring about the delivery of a $38k Steinway - to be used in an opera performance I was coordinating at work. I had not received a call to confirm its delivery - and work security had no record of its arrival....this, with 1.5 hours until the performance. As it turned out, the piano had arrived, but it appears that no one bothered to log it. After a bit of scrambling, I got the signs up and welcomed the set truck. From then on, it was all up to them. The 50-minute, english language version of Puccini's "La Bohome" played to a mixed-age house of 130. It was interesting to watch the collection of employee families, older couples and the ocassional Girl Scout troup. Even though the lighting was to be desired, the show was a success...with folks offering their thanks and three even confessing to tears. That's opera for ya, folks.

I've spent this morning surfing again. Having a puff - and catching up on some of the life I seem to lost contact with. Updating the Clinton Street site, browsing friendly blogs and preparing to address the matters of the day. I hope to plant peas this afternoon - as well as reconquer the basement and all of its fearsome, unopened boxes.

We might catch the Oscars on Sunday night - have my brother over for a little family time....and hopefully see Peter Jackson get his due.

In other news....

Props to my man Adrian in Japan! Hope you heal quickly...the pain in your blog was palpable!

I'm about to go to work, and noticed that my blog is languishing. Again.

With Greer being the central focus of most things, I'm not terribly surprised that my communication has dropped off. The "other" stuff like work, outside projects, etc... doesn't just go away - it still has to be dealt with. Like today, I'll be down at the Heathman doing some volunteer recuiting for Tears of Joy....it never ends.

Ah well, I could be out of work.

I know...I know. I've been gone again.

What can I say? Work has sucked me in and spit me out. No blogging on the clock - and a swift collapse back at home. No blog for Greg. Greg tired. Ugh.

Actually, I have nothing much to say (I'm about to fall asleep), other than I have some more Greer photos up - for all those who have been checking in.

Thanks for your patience with the new father...
