So....the DNC has begun.  Big whup.

After a cursory review of the circumstances in Boston, it appears that the Dems have forgotten the progressive principles that have driven this nation - and are pandering to the middle.

No decisive position on Iraq.  No passionate visions.
Nada even worth mentioning.
and no surprises.

Snore.....

And....they've taken a page from the GOP and established razor-wired, fenced-in, invisible-to-the-convention "protest zones" - a draconian maneuver that speaks volumes about the recent overwhelming shift toward a police state.  Once again, the "9/11 excuse" has succeeded in pummeling free speech into the background.

So how is this any different that what W has to offer?  No much....other than the neoconservative angle.  To let those bozos back in White House would be tantamount to endorsing fascism.  So better to hold your nose and vote for Kerry - than lose the rest of our rights, income and national dignity.

So....the new Iraqi PM likes to execute "insurgents".

Sounds a little like the last guy we put into power over there.....Saddam must be having a good laugh.

The ghosts of Abu Ghraib are raising there ugly head again - as the crimes get uglier.  Meanwhile, the suits up in Washington are playing the blame game.

And lastly...

Want some Zionism with your Christianity?  Ugh....
