Summer come and gone

Where does the time go?

1. Well....a great chunk of summer was spent plying my trade at the office. Been working a pile of overtime - and that will make you lose track of things fast. Over time, I ended up being the team lead - and trained five new team members to tow the line....including my good friend and long-time tech colleague, Dave Angus....who helps me keep my sense of humor.

2. Finished up "From One Rose" with Ira and the team at F&F Film. It had a big premiere at the
Hollywood - and screened around PDX at neighborhood theaters. Even though my primary role was as the 16mm archivist, many of the concepts Ira and I had discussed in 2006 made it to the screen....which was wonderful to see. There are more screenings in the works....and apparently it's slated to make it's television debut on KGW in December. Suffice it to say, it will be a part of the Rose Festival lineup for years to come, so there's that.

3. Family....as much as I could get - which in the end, didn't seem like enough. A weekend in the woods with my folks and time up north with the Crumps. Greer is fully conversive - and a tornado of activity. Lots of bike rides, visits to the park and the usual slew of toddler/pre-schooler entertainment.

4. Weddings! My inlaws (Duncan and Barbara) renewed their vows at the State Capital in Olympia and my dear brother Chris married his
sweetie, Windy in a ceremony at the Rhody Garden next to Reed College. Both of these events happened on the same weekend, believe it or not. My first time as a Best Man - and Greer got to be the ring bearer.

5, 6, 7..... Work on the house....Trailermania 6.....State Fair trip....Tears of Joy 35th anniversary....the list goes on.
